This thesis deals with material management.in CzechPak manufacturing plant. The main aim of the thesis is to analyse the current situation of logistics at CzechPak Manufacturing and propose changes to ease material management. Further aim is to point out key materials and suppliers. The thesis introduces the plant targets and postion of logistic targets within the plant strategy. In this thesis food industry features are specified with regards to logistic processes. The thesis gives proposals for process and system changes in material management with taking advantages of SAP system. In this thesis ABC analysis is applied on materials in CzechPak Manufacturing to indicate key materials and propose supplies optimization.

The thesis is focused on SCM and information support for supply chain managers with emphasis on modelling and simulation. The first main aim of the work is to verify the method for applicability in SCM problem solution. The second main aim is to analyse supply chains by means of modelling and simulation and find the most suitable supply chains for the area of The New economics. The third main aim is to analyse behaviour of supply chains under changing factors on which the supply chains are initially modelled. The output of this work is applicable in the theory, practice and education
Analysis of logistics of returnable and non-returnable packaging

Diploma thesis deals with analysis of the packaging system of a company with focus on beverages industry. Retrunable and non-returnable packaging is a frequently discussed topic at present, especially in connection with beverages industry -- this work reflects a new phenomenon of beer being bottled into PET bottles and glass returnable bottles, which are not interchangeable among breweries any more. First part presents theoretical background for analysis of logistic costs; there are identified packaging functions, basic materials and legislation. Second part inspects logistic costs with focus on transportation, warehousing, packaging and reverse logistics costs.
ANALYSIS OF LOGISTIC PROCESSES IN LOMBARDINI SLOVAKIA, s.r.o. ,

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe logistic processes which are running within the particular company and which are inevitable for continuous and effective production in accordance with customers' demands. Further, the purpose is to identify main deficiencies of these processes on the ground of the author's theoretical knowledge in the logistics sphere, and to propose potential improvements. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first, theoretical section is focused on the definition and development of logistics, as a tool for increasing effectiveness and competitiveness of the company. Part of this section is also a description of the concept of minimizing total logistic costs. Second, practical section describes logistic processes and tasks as they are performed in selected company. In this section, author focused mainly on purchasing, warehousing, and material flow through out the company during the whole process of production of final product. As a part of this block is also a identification of main deficiencies and proposed improvements.
